BJP MPs from Uttar Pradesh, Maneka Gandhi and Sakshi Maharaj, started their poll campaign on a bad note. In Sultanpur, Gandhi told a Muslim group that she will not be 'inclined' to offer jobs to them if they don't vote for her. Sakshi Maharaj went a notch up and warned voters that they would be cursed by if they don't vote for a sanyasi.
Let there be light food
Seasoned campaigners, especially the younger lot, are eating light and drinking lot of water to survive campaign heat. While Rajnath Singh prefers light vegetarian meals, Ghulam Nabi Azad, 70, trusts honey water. With temperatures set to rise further in the coming days, along with political intensity of the hard-fought election, our netas can't afford to let their guard down.
