Lockdown, Day 31: Only the first wave so far

Even as India battles the first wave of coronavirus - reporting 1,684 cases in the last 24 hours - experts are raising concerns of a second wave of the infection during late July and August.

As COVID-19 continues wreaking havoc on global economies, Franklin Templeton has wound up six of its debt mutual funds - worth $4.1 billion - in the country, the effects of which are bound to be felt across the economy.

    62 new cases in Andhra Pradesh, total reaches 955.

    18 new cases in Karnataka, state's count now 463.
    Six new cases in Bihar bring the total up to 176.
    One new case in Odisha, total cases now 90.
