Day 11 of lockdown sees a 355 case spike

As the virus takes a firm hold over the country, over 30% of India's total cases are linked to the Tablighi Jamaat congregation which took place last month. India has reported 355 cases in the last 12 hours.

In spite of all the bad news around, there still seems to be hope, economist Arvind Panagariya belives that India could turn its economy around in the second half of 2021.

The count so far:
    Two deaths and 11 new cases in Madhya Pradesh; state tally now 164, 10 dead.
    One death and 63 new cases in Rajasthan; state tally now at 196.
    One death in Karnataka; state death tally now four.
    One death in Hyderabad.
    One death in Gujarat, 10 new cases; state tally up to 105, 10 dead.
    One death in Tamil Nadu.
    Delhi case count now up to 386.
    47 new cases in Maharashtra; state tally now 537.
    31 new cases in Uttar Pradesh.
    16 new cases in Andhra Pradesh; state tally now 180.
    Five new cases in Assam, total 25.
    Three new cases in J&K; tally up to 78.

    Ministry of Health recommends the usage of cloth masks.
    Bombay Municipal Corporation launches dedicated COVID-19 clinics.
    East Coast Railway converts 261 coaches into isolation wards.

Post-lockdown:
    Air Asia opens booking for flights post April 15.
